At Scottfin, we realise the trauma that our clients go through when the unfortunate happens and they have to submit a claim.

We therefore try to make the process as hassle free as possible. We have attached all the relevant claim forms. Simply complete the form and e-mail or fax it back to the details contained in the relevant claim form.

Things to remember

For your peace of mind, and to ensure that the process is followed as quickly as possible remember:

  • Notify your broker as soon as possible about any event that may lead to a claim, but not later than 30 days following the event.
  • Make sure the information on your claims form is correct and contains full details of the third party and any eyewitnesses.
  • Report the case to the police immediately, but not later than 24 hours after the event. They will give you a case number, which you must give to Scottfin when registering the claim.
  • Provide a clear description of how the accident/loss happened.
  • Include a clear sketch in the case of a motor claim.
  • Submit proof of ownership and replacement quotes for property loss claim.

  • Insured Name
  • Policy Number
  • Date of Loss
  • Details of Item[s] lost or damaged (i.e. Vehicle make, model & Registration no)
  • Description of Loss

  • Blacklisting ref (in case of stolen cell phones)

Once Scottfin has received your completed claim form and relevant attachments, documentation will be forwarded to the relevant insurer. We will give you progress reports and advise you should the insurers need any further information.
