Things to remember

At Scottfin Insurance, we realise the trauma that our clients go through when the unfortunate happens and they have to submit a claim. We therefore try to make the process as hassle free as possible. All of the required forms are easily accessible via links below. Simply download and complete the necessary form and submit to Scottfin Insurance Brokers.

NOTIFY YOUR BROKER

as soon as possible about any event that may lead to a claim, but not later than 30 days following the event.

CORRECT INFORMATION

Make sure the information on your claim form is correct and contains full details of the third party and any eyewitnesses.

REPORT THE CASE

to the police immediately, but not later than 48 hours after the event. Obtain a case number, which must be given to Scottfin when registering the claim.

DESCRIBE THE ACCIDENT

Provide a clear description of how the accident/loss happened.

SKETCH OR PHOTO

Include a clear sketch and photo in the case of a motor claim.

PROVIDE PROOF OF OWNERSHIP

Submit proof of ownership and replacement quotes for property loss claim.

Once Scottfin has received your completed claim form and supporting documents, it will be forwarded to the relevant insurer. We will provide you with progress reports and advise you should the insurers require any further information.
